Glinsk Mediation and Consultancy was founded by Dermot Murphy.

Dermot boasts a rich and dynamic career, spanning three decades with a prominent UK based charity.

For over eight years, he led a robust field-based workforce comprising over 400 staff, overseeing a 7-day week operation and managing a £25 million budget. His multifaceted skill set includes accreditation as a mediator, adept investigative prowess, union negotiation and a keen eye for budget and business planning.

Further to his managerial roles, Dermot has served as a seasoned media spokesperson and conference presenter, showcasing his ability to communicate effectively on various platforms. His professional journey extends to providing testimony in diverse legal settings, from magistrate, crown and coroners courts, to an appearance before a House of Commons Committee.

Dermot’s leadership extends to the role of Chair in hearings, meetings, and working groups, where he adeptly guides discussions and decisions. Known for his adept problem-solving skills, he navigates moments of crisis with a calm demeanour, rallying stakeholders across the organisation. His collaborative approach aims to mitigate risks to the business, operational efficiency, reputation, and the well-being of colleagues.
